Happy National Bird Day!
“This African grey parrot belonged to Frances Teresa, Duchess of Richmond. It lived with her for 40 years and died shortly after her in 1702. It was mounted and displayed by her funeral effigy in Westminster Abbey, and is thought to be the oldest stuffed bird in existence.”
