Dead cow #172 I swear. This is a natural byproduct of a neighbor pasturing a mixed herd of old dry cows and young calving cows together on free range for a winter. Old cows are smart and will teach the younger ones but have a high winterkill rate. Since they’re too old and tough to be eaten, this isn’t seen as a waste of meat. Trust me, old cow doesn’t hamburger well! Old in this context is 12 to 16 years old, with ten or more calves behind them.
The domestic cat taxidermy display, a couple of the better dog mounts and some really big farm animals at the Salzburg Haus Der Natur. I really liked the display of domestics here as human’s have shaped their genetics. Certainly they have a place in a museum.

Everybody’s excited to be moving into the new space, including this big guy. We are getting closer to opening @clevelandcuriosities, and looking forward to seeing you all there! #clevelandcuriosities #Oddities #obscure #Horror #wetspecimen #biology #curio #bones #skulls #cabinetofcuriosities #taxidermy #specimen #deadstuff #morbid #oddity #tattoo #clevelandoddities #adamsfamily #blackbear #bear #taxidermybear #blackbears #bigbear #bigbears

Got this lovely dog skull today! Fairly sure it’s a boxer. Such an extreme underbite!
